Purple Haze Collection

Updated: Jun 10

These bright shades of plum, lavender and iris just seem so needed right now. I was thrilled to be able to pull together some really rare fabrics for this collection. It was inspired by the late 1960's, the desire to push back against the boring and bland, and of course Jimi Hendrix's song, Purple Haze.

Each item was handmade by me.They were influenced by vintage style and crafted with repurposed bed sheets. Some of the unique prints used in this collection include Atlantis by Tex-Made and a purple geometric that pops designed by Vera Neumann. The kimono style robes have roomy sizing, drop sleeves, tie belts and contrast piping details. The clutch handbags have vintage zippers and fun rouched fronts. The pillows are patch appliquéd with contrasting mushrooms and peace signs.

This collection debuted June 5th at the Annesdale Snowden Historic Neighborhood Art Walk in Memphis, TN. It was thrilling getting to see how excited everyone was about these pieces. Each person who took something home truly seemed thrilled with what they claimed. It is so rewarding to see something I've worked on be so well received. The few remaining pieces will be offered online and at Sheffields Antiques in Collierville, TN after June 10th.

06/10/21 UPDATE- Some beautiful pieces of the Purple Haze Collection can now be purchased from the POP-Up Shop section of my Etsy at www.rosepettijohn.etsy.com.
