There was a time in my life when I hated ironing and would avoid it at all costs. Being a quilter changed that. Pressing is required if you want seams that match up and look good. Even though I started ironing, I wasn't fully invested in the process and only had a little 32" board. For ten years I ironed on that little board. The cover was worn so thin that it was starting to look like a cheese grater. Last week my friend Carrie passed her old extra wide board down to me. Inspired by a post on Instagram by @gingerlemonsquilts, I gave both my boards a makeover. With a few layers of batting and a fun vintage sheet they have both been given new life. Meet Momma and Baby board.
